The International Study Group on Psychoanalytic Film Theory

A collaborative initiative, developed by Dr. Vanessa V. Rodriguez Vargas of The Filmanalytic Salon and Dr. Miguel Moita from The Lisbon Psychoanalytic Film Club, where cinema is conceptualized as a potent clinico-political device. We hope to contribute new academic insights and methodologies to visual culture, while bridging the theoretical gap between the therapeutic space, artistic creation, and political-existential transformation.
